Voodoo2 question

Im running a P2-300mhz with 32mb RAM.  I was wondring how much of a boost a
Voodoo2 would give me in GPL.  Im going to upgrade my RAM to 64 soon so i know
ill get a couple (probably 2-3 but this is a guess) fps from that.  I currently
get 13-15 fps in pretty much any situation (except starts...then the fps goes
through the floor and keeps going to china).  Thanx in advance.

You are playing GPL without a 3d-card, wow!

You gotta be a *** ;-). The Voodoo2 card will give you:

a) Max framerate in most situations in 800x600 (36 fps).
b) Very, very, very much prettier graphics. (You must try it)

Get the V2 ASAP!

Just get the Voodoo, you will be gobsmacked. With your processor you should see
36fps
most of the time, might dip a bit at 19 car starts or at Monaco..... + get that
extra ram, it all
helps.....

Thanks for all the advice, it persuaded me that this is definately the way to
go.

Now for a hearty laugh:

As far as me being a maschoist playing GPL with no 3d card...I guess i am.
However this isnt nearly as bad as my old system.  Just to see how pathetic it
ran i put GPL on my 486DX  (yes a 486).  Talk about graphical problems!!!! I
think i got a max of 7 fps with every option turned off.  So a word of advice
to those wanting to run GPL on an underpowered machine...Get ready to spend
some cash for upgrades.  Better yet, just dont do it (unless you can drive a
car at 7 fps with no graphics turned on...i cant.

Anyways i took it off my 486 and am only going to use my P2 for it and all my
other sims.  I have hereby dubbed the dinosaur my "setup log".  Works great for
that.
