Midtown Madness: Voodoo2 and GP1+CH Pedals question

by Dave » Sun, 07 May 2000 04:00:00

I bought Midtown Madness a week ago and am having a couple of
problems - I'd appreciate advice from people who may have had similar
problems with the game:

1. Video quality: Using my Creative Voodoo 2 SLI combo, textures have
some weird colors  - e.g. green streaks where the white street lane
lines are
supposed to be, street lights and traffic lights have ugly multicolored
halos etc.
I have tried switching resolutions and changing image quality parameters

without any luck and the Microsoft support site is no help. I have
Windows 95,
DirectX7A, the most recent Voodoo2 drivers from 3Dfx, and have no
problems
running GPL, NFSPU or F1RS2.

2. Controller: I have a Thrustmaster GP1 wheel with CH Pedals configured

as a 4 axis controller (steering wheel, wheel paddles, pedal brake,
pedal accelerator). While the brake and accelerator are recognised when
configuring the controller (as Axis R and Z), neither pedal works when
actually
racing. Again, no problems with the same controller in GPL, NFSPU and
F1RS2.

Thanks,

Dave
