Voodoo2 question

I have upgraded from a Voodoo1 Canopus pure 3d 3dfx card 8mb to a voodoo2 12
mb. I also have a p-333 128 megs sdram and sb live s.c. In games like gpl
and nascar3 and Nascar legends (all with full install) I'm averaging around
20 fps. I get in the 30's when I'm only with a few cars and in the low 20's
to high ***'s when I'm in the field or at the start of the race. In gpl I
run 12 cars and I run full fields in the nascar games. I have 90% of the
graphics on in all the games and in gpl I have the detail bias up the slider
about 1/3 the way. In Nascar 3 and Legends I have the draw distance set to 1
with low skid buffers and replay files.
OK now my question! I think my framerates are shit for what I have. I was
expecting alot more in fps when I upgraded when it only went up 2 fps avg.
Is this normal? I have put the latest drivers from 3dfx in and still get the
same results. I was wondering if anyone that has the same set up I have
might be getting the same results.
Thanks
