What about F1RC on XP? Maybe I will get it instead.
Thanks.

f1rc runs fine on XP. although FF doesn't work too well on my wheel.
excellent hotlapper. dodgy AI.
worth getting if you can get it cheap. in its current state, its
still my favourite f1 title as it seems to have *excellent* track
renditions in terms of layout & graphics. The only problem with the
tracks is that they are too smooth. Not enough bumps means that it
can be too easy.
that said, i think f1 2001 will be a better buy if it gets patched.
the tracks *are* bumpy and rough as they should be, but the slopes and
inclines don't seem to be be reflected in the same way as F1RC. I'm
not sure which sim is correct, but my observation of F1 in car views
on the TV broadcast leads me to think that F1RC does it better.
Blind corners at Suzuka seem to be rendered more realistically in
f1rc. Is there anyone else who can comment on this? I'm not 100%
sure which sim is better in this regard.
