can't join VROC races

can't join VROC races

when i click 'join' for a vroc race, i'm taken to the multiplayer page
of gpl. but when i click on the IP address of the host and choose my IPX
connection, no green box appears on the lower right corner! if i choose
COM1 or 2, i get the green box- which is odd because i don't even have a
modem...

i've had no trouble hosting races in the past.

i'm connected via a 3COM NIC, T1 line through school.

any help is appreciated...

never mind; the TNT open gl changed my core.ini.... i have it right now....

Could be that the school has some sort of firewall, or network
protocols that prohibit this type of on-line *** connection? have a
word with their system/network administrator.....
