I was talking to Chris and Tony at a dreamers convention yesterday and they
said that they have sponsorship for the WRL concept from the Blowin In the
Wind Twightly Software house, a subsidiary of the Hoax Corporation.
So now they will make available a demo CD case sometime next Sunday after
lunch.  Sorry there will no disc in the case at this time.  Please stay
posted for further news.

God bless the West Bros. Papy wannabe's.

Oh hi Chris, Tony.  Oh man you have personally delivery my very on CD case.
And it has a lovely picture of a GPL lookalike car on it. You guys..... I
don't know what to say. Thank you, Thank you, Oh thank you so much.  Kiss
kiss kiss.

What you say is probably truer than you think.  Very funny piece.

Well, well-- at least up to now-- the truth hurts, doesn't it.  Until I see
something concrete (a working demo, for instance), I will continue to
believe that all this is an elaborate hoax.  I may be wrong, but all we have
to live by is our past experiences.  And if the past is any indication, you
guys are chasing ghosts.

Obviously I hope I am wrong, as I would love to get my hands on something so
described by West Brothers.  Can you really fault anyone for being
skeptical?

ROFL, I thought it was hilarious myself, but then again, a man who can
make pedals like that can say and do whatever he wants :-)

Beers and cheers

I make a distinction between voicing scepticism and crawling out of the
woodwork to ridicule and offend.

It's called offensive ridicule. And don't undo my <snip>s either!

I respect the opinion of people who think WRL will never happen. In return I
expect respect for wanting to give the Wests the benifit of the doubt.

I don't feel I'm setting myself up for anything by being positive towards
WRL. I do think it's a terribly ambitious project. I know there are a lot of
economic factors against it succeeding. I know there are a lot of ifs and
buts about this whole deal, but *if* the sim get "finished", turns out as
good as claimed (both by the author as those who have tested what was WSC)
and simmers like myself put their money where their mouth is, it might just
work.

I don't think being positive about a developer wanting to take racing sims
in the right direction is ground for being labeled credulous/stupid nor for
being ridiculed.

I don't have the time of day for people who obviously think it clever to
taunt well meaning, sincere individuals.

I reserve the right to take offence at whoever pisses me off.

If he's involved with making simracing hardware his comments are even more
ill advised as he will lose every last shred of integrity if he ever makes a
sale on the back of WRL.

Look who got out of the wrong side of bed today.
That isn't ridicule. It was a joke.
I'm starting to pity you.

Nigel you seem desperate and almost wild-eyed that this sim doesnt come
out... why? I mean i can understand ppl being sceptical but u seem to have
some other agenda... will you lose a $1000 bet if it comes out or something?
Ive talked to the wests quite a bit and  i know ppl that have driven beta's
of wsc/rl and i know they do very high quality work. Why cant 2 ppl create a
concept like this? one person did it with x plane (a very similar concept)
I mean what kinda games/sims do u actually like? are u a f1 2ker ?a
gpler?why not talk about something u like rather than something u have no
interest in except to see its failure?
If you have nother useful to say at all why say anything? why not just shut
up and go back to gt3 or ridge racer?
