GPL: Remote sever and VROC

Can anyone point me to instructions on how to setup a remote server in
GPL/VROC (i.e. a remote server guide for dummys).  The VROC site had
lots of info on setting up a dedicated server and I skimmed through the
GPL, 1.1 and 1.2 patch readme's but it wasn't obvious to me. Running a
dedicated server was fairly simple through VROC. However I wanted to run
my PC so others could control the server (using the boss password?) and
still join through VROC.

Thanks
Ken

This is really a short version, but it might help:

On the server:

1. Start WinVROC
2. Choose the Host menu option
3. Choose "Launch a dedicated server" or something like that.
4. Enter the password "googlyboogly" and go.

On the client:

1. Start WinVROC
2. Choose the Host menu option
3. Choose "Attached to a dedicated server" or something like that.
4. Enter the IP address.
5. Enter the password "googlyboogly".
6. Now the client gets to set the race and password.  This time you can
use the password "password/boss" and the race will be seen on the list.
7. From the list, new drivers will use "password/boss" to join the
server as a boss driver.

I remember it like that, but haven't hosted using this method for quite
awhile.

Jason.

Thanks Jason, that clears it up a bit.
