WAY LOOSE ALL THE TIME!! NASCAR 2003 HELP

by TAZ » Mon, 03 Mar 2003 10:41:16

I have NASCAR 2003, FORCE RS and Pedals, etc with WinXP/

Everything is just way to loose, I feel like I am skating on
ice................. just with fast setup, etc.

I have raced NASCAR for years, but these last two versions just make me feel
like I am ice skating.

Any suggestion on how to tweak the wheel, etc or a good setup  I can test
with??

TIA

Try adjusting linearity.  I've heard some people are using a lot less then ever before.

WAY LOOSE ALL THE TIME!! NASCAR 2003 HELP

Let's say you take the default Fast setup for a given track like Atlanta.

To me, the Fast setup never seems loose at 70 degrees.  So if you are seeing
that, you might check your linearity.  Mine is at 85%, but what works for
you might vary.  I hear many people using that value. Since I don't use a FF
wheel, I cannot assume what differences that might call for.

Also, I've found that in 2003, the wheel lock setting seems more sensitive.
I often have to lower the ratio a few notches from what the default setups
provide.  For example, I really don't like 32:1 at Daytona because it does
make things feel very slippery.
