You might want to make sure you've got the AGP driver for your motherboard's
chipset installed, and also perhaps reinstall DirectX and the Graphics card
drivers (DirectX only if it happens in DirectX, not if the prob occurs
during the OpenGL testing the 3d configuration does).

Are you using a GF4 card? Because that seems to be a problem occurring
sometimes with these cards. You might try and install the VGART driver that
probably came with the card.

If you have an Ali chipset, you may need to enable the 'EnableALiAGP'
setting. Rivatuner can do this.

I have an Ali chipset, I saw that advice on a Nvidiot newsgroup and tried
it out...I lost almost 35% of my 3dmark 2001se score.  I had to find a file
called aliagp.exe to install the proper files to get my scores back up to
where they were before.
lucked out there...trusted Google to find something and it did.

Simply disabling this setting in RivaTuner should undo the mod.

nope it didn't..  once I pulled the trigger, it seemed I was stuck with
poor performance.  Finding the aliagp file either reset things or re-enabled
whatever was needed.  Sorry...I don't know WHY it is back, it just is...
