I've just started playing gpl again thanks to some advice on more stable
setups. I'm racing at monza and doing laps in the 1.33's not very good i
know but anyway i always seem to get rammed from behind when brakeing for
the final corner, ok i may be braking a bit early but not that early and the
cars behind aren't always that close they just don't seem to care about my
line or speed they just keep coming. Has anyone else had this problem and is
there anything i can do except for braking later.

The culprit wouldn't happen to be a certain Mr Surtees by any chance?

Is it that white Honda with Surtees at the wheel again ? Damn that
guy...he's at it again =:-D

On a more serious note, if its online play your talking about, 1:33 at Monza
is a bit slow but thats not an excuse for ramming you. You might just be a
victim of someone who is surprised to see a car braking earlier than
expected, but who should have avoided a crash regardless.

If its offline, you may want to take the inside line coming at Parabolica to
avoid the crash, altough this will make you even slower. After traffic has
diluted, reclaim that prefered line and keep practicing...

Wasn't "The Parabolica Predicament" dealt with, at least to some extent, in
one of the patches?

Yea...theyll brake earlier....except of course Surtees :) He seems to think
driving a a japaneese car means he must imitate "those who went before"
him...referring of course to Kamakazi pilots.

But on a serious note GPL 1.1 will improve their braking habits. However they
will still be aggressive if it was their nature in real life....like Surtees.

and "Got the bastard again" and so forth. ;-)

Have you installed the 1.1 patch? The AI was braking much too
agressive in the original GPL, with the 1.1 update the AI braking at
the Parabolica has improved, they will brake earlier.

This is an inherent "glitch" with Monza and the best thing to do, as soon as
you see a following car about to ram itself up your exhaust pipe, is to leap
overboard, to the left, and into the sand trap.

Easily fixed....go into the driver.ini file and turn down his aggression
until he behaves as if on Valium! :o)
