Or you can run races that are short enough not to require a pit stop. ;)

You may want to try recalibrating your joystick or whatever device you
are using for your brakes and gas pedal. It sounds as if you may not be
bringing your car to a complete STOP so no pit work. Also make sure you
are not slightly to far forward or outside your pit area. Try backing
up and see if they will work on your car.
Just a couple of guesses.

Make sure you are stopping in the right place. Once you get it stopped
in the right place, the red timer will start in the upper right corner of
the screen. I did the same thing until I got used to stopping in the
right place.

Oh, if you are talking about the demo, your out of luck. The crew doesn't
make the trip to the track. I believe they are still in the shop working on
the race setup. 8>

Well, you're the lucky one. I get the last pit every time. I tried
qualifying, but never got good enough at that to advance.
Well, guess you didn't learn your lesson after ICR.
Doug - Who doesn't even THINK about owning NASCAR!!!!!
However what Announcer option are you complaining about. The only
announcer there is Ned at the very beginning. I also have fairly decent
Stereo with my PAS+, (of course it is a little scratchy -- but I
remember before NASCAR came out someone had posted hoping they would
include the full range of sounds heard in the***pit like the ***
flying up and hitting the undercarriage, so I just pretend that's what
all of that static is -- oh, yeh and the static on my radio caused by
the altnernator). Either enjoy it or take it back for a refund or give
it to a friend (or enemy).

Interesting.. I have never had this problem with static on mine on any
setting. Not like I ever use sb16 stereo anymore.. I don't even use
digitzed sounds. Just takes up way too much processor time.

Well, I learned my lesson from ICR:
Buying a program from Papyrus isn't a problem at all -
I'm sure they'll produce a patch quite quickly.
That's a lot better compared to MicroPr*se, where I'm still waiting
for patches for Darkl*nds, Master of Or*on... (and I guess, I'll wait
forever :-(
Herbert
PS: Better to buy a BETA version, and get patches, than
buying programs with errors that are never corrected...
