GPLex: GPL exporter utility 3DO to VRML available

Hi all,

Here's a little post some GPL fans might be interested in. Primarily
targeted at Racer (ofcourse ;-) ), this may also be useful for SCGT,
or should I say F12K2? :)

--------------------------------------

I just uploaded a first beta version (which seems to work quite ok) of
a converter for GPL 3DO objects (track objects mainly) to VRML files.

It's specifically targeted at (large) tracks. Small objects may be
importable in Racer's Modeler, but tracks just need a different
approach, since GPL uses such a different model layout (a tree).

URLs:

Get GPLex at http://www.racesimcentral.net/
Info on importing GPL tracks can be found at
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
Info on GPLex is at http://www.racesimcentral.net/

GPLex is to be pronounced as G-Plex (but well).

Hope this helps in converting some GPL tracks to Racer, for example.

Alternatively check out this thread (with a screenshot from a
converted bunch of WRL files in Max) from the Racer forum:
