I tried it I couldn't host with Zona Alarm, maybe if you got hold of Zone
Alarm Pro then that would allow you to keep the ports open that N4 needs.

The only way I could get ZoneAlarm to allow folks to join my dedicated
server was to turn the internet security feature all the way to the LOW
setting. The lock seems to have no bearing on the situation at all. I do
have mine to lock after 5 minutes of inactivity and promptly shut down the
server after the race is done and we are done chatting and such. After the 5
minutes everything locks down and is fine.

Put N4 in Software mode.  Launch N4; you should see ZoneAlarm popup.  Be
sure to click the option box to make your choice permanent and then click
yes.  There may be another box that pops up as well.  Exit N4 and change
your video back to OpenGL or Direct3d and launch N4.  You should be in your
next multiplayer race without problems.
