FF pedals?

A thought occurred to me the other day, that apart
from putting vibration in a seat, and the steering
wheel to gain feedback from a racing game, about the
only other physical contact point with the outside
world is through the pedals.
So... has anyone stuck powerful speakers or whatever
to the back of their pedals to gain an extra bit of
forcefeedback, and how did it go?

HUH?

The only FF I can imagine being of any use for pedals is perhaps the brake
pedal getting soft with a brake system leak letting air into the pipes, or
perhaps some bite-point feel to an FF clutch pedal.

To date, neither have been suitably modelling in any sim I know of. But who
knows

I'd rather see stuff like a digital Dash on an FF wheel, a unit of
switches/buttons etc for brake bias, lights etc and MORE CARBON FIBRE ( but
I'm trying to sort that with my Momo at the moment )

It wholly realistic to be able to feel vibration from the road and
engine through your feel.

But you feel more thru your ass on the seat though.

And a fair bit through the wheel.

the brake gives alot of feel when the wheels lock up...
i have thought about it, but so far the ideas might be a tad expensive!

When are they gonna give us an affordable, reasonably sized  motion
simulator so I can completely lose myself in these games? I toyed with the
idea of getting one of those virtual reality type goggles. I bet you would
really be able to forget you were in a game if you could block out
everything else in the room. Unfortunately I would like a little more than
800x600 res., and would like to pay a lot less than $1500 dollars. Anybody
ever tried 'em?

Just don't model the warped brake rotor on my work van...LOL  Just about
blew out both knees on the way home from work today.

Since I'm building my own simulator at the moment, I
was (naturally enough) in the hardware store today.
It occurred to me that I can fake a carbon fibre
interior to my simulator by gluing down some cheap
rough weave matting (from the gardening department)
and painting it dark grey.

Brakes going soft from boiling brake liquid...***e to simulate. Not
impossible, if you have a motor adjusting the spring travel (moving the
spring out to soften). This would call for the software to support it
though...think f1 2002 has brake fade...

I have a 120W tube sub attached to the underside of my footwell, feels
groovey. Also manages to shake my wheel and ass, and im thinking of
attaching a rumbler (hooks up like a speaker) to the underside of my seat :)
