Hi everyone...

First off, you may remember our site had an interview/visit to Papyrus
last month. In it we talk about NASCAR 2000. Well, NASCAR 2000 is no
more. The product that was known as NASCAR 2000 will be released as
NASCAR 3.

NASCAR Legends is still being worked on, under that title, and a Q4-99
release is targeted.

Finally, the GPL patch. The news I have is that it's being held up, and
right now no ETA is available. Sorry I couldn't get any more info than
that, so the readme file will have to satisfy your curiousity for a
while.

Meanwhile, back to TOCA2. Why hasn't this game been released in the USA
yet? It's very enjoyable!

     Dan,

I went to your site and read the visit to Papyrus. Nothing new that
hasn't been reported, but you did confirm that Papyrus/Sierra was
disappointed in the sales figures for GPL. And that's what I feel is the
real underlying reason for shelving Nas3 and detuning the new Nas3.

As with all companies, they are sales driven. They exist to make a
profit. Why produce a cutting edge sim like Nas3 that will most likely be a
commercial failure.  While at the same time, open up the door for another
competitor.

Actually Joel, it *was* new about a month ago, and thanks to Dan we all got
more info on the N3/2000 mess than we had access to from anywhere else at the
time...
