Hello,
What is the difference between these two games? I know Nascar 3 is not
out, but I read on another newsgroup that this game will becoming out in the
future. Does anyone have any info on this title and how it might compare to
the recently released Nascar99? Thanks for any info.

Well, some would consider Nascar 3 to be Nascar 1999 done right :)

Nascar 1999 is a stepping stone. An update.

Personally, I find the serious limitations of the W95 native .exe to be

Nascar 3 will be totally new and based on the GPL engine.

My main concern is that, with everything I've read here, Papyrus lasts
long enough to finish it...

n99 is a nice update to n2, added tracks, trucks, 98 season stuff. n3 or n2000
will be based on the physics engine of GPL and will be unbeleivably different,
in case you haven't heard it will be wayyy more realistic driving model, better
graphics and killer ai.

Well the biggest difference is Nascar99 is a EA Sports title.Nascar racing
1999 is a title allready released by Sierra...Nascar3 was a concept name
last year.Since they didnt name nascar 1999 nascar2 1/2....I doubt there
will ever be a Nascar3.
Now...with that aside....Nascar Racing1999 is a jazzed up version of Nascar
racing2...with the Craftsman Truck series added...new tracks, and new track
config's. Sierra also put in 3dfx support for nascar 1999....along with new
graphics at certain tracks.
Without the rebate, Nascar 1999 is a total ripoff, as in my opinion, it
shoulda just been an expansion pack....but again, thats just MHO.

Well, at least they DO offer one of 2 rebates: $20 off for N2 owners, or
$purchase price off for anyone with the proper sports title of a competitor
(just sent in my MS Golf 1.0 CD today, we'll see how well it works!). I
agree that it's really just an update for CURRENT OWNERS OF N2 and the BGN
addon. For new owners it's GREAT, though.

Hi guys,
Thanks to all who responded to my post, I really appreciate all the
information presented. Now I need to decide if I should pick Nascar Racing
99. The trade in rebate offer will be hard to pass up.
