IRC for Mac, to convert NASCAR tracks, need NASCAR?

I'm under the impression that to convert NASCAR tracks for use with IRC2
for the Mac I need to have the NASCAR game. Is this true? Or, is there a
way for me to race on  NASCAR tracks without having to purchase NASCAR? I'd
love to race on the Pocono or even Indy but cant find a way to convert
these tracks. I can download them but they don't show up in my list of
tracks when I put them in my "tracks" folder in the "data" folder. Can
anyone help?

True, you can find the patches for the NASCAR Racing for Mac DAT files at
Herwig's site or Sim***world.

Look at http://www.racesimcentral.net/, you need
NASCAR for Mac because the convertors are patches. No piracy here.
