Voodoo3 2000 AGP for around $80 now I think would be a good choice.

I second that, V3 2000 is the best bang for the buck right now.

Since it looks like I'll be forced to buy one to play GPW when it comes in,
does anyone have any suggestions on a cheap 3D card that will be compatible
with most sims? (GPW in particular)  Any help would be appreciated. :)
Thanks!

Depends on what you mean by "cheap", but a 3dfx Voodoo card will be
compatible with everything (you'll need one anyway if you want to play
GPL, now that Rendition are gone).

You can get a Voodoo3 2000 PCI in the UK for about UKP80, and a Voodoo3
3000 AGP for around UKP100. If that's too much, a second-hand Voodoo2,
which will still be good enough for most purposes, will set you back
about UKP40.
HTH.

The V3 2000PCI would be about $120 or so, right?  I'll have to check Best
Buy here in Indy and see what they want for one...thanks for the help. :)

I'll third that.  I got the V3 2000 PCI pretty much when it came out and feel I
got the best value for the money.  Even GPL never drops much below about 30fps
(most details turned on) on my P2 300.
