LWFF: Where to get one?

by Burke Well » Thu, 04 Nov 1999 04:00:00

I have a friend that's looking to buy a LWFF, but he's not having much luck
in his local area and has decided to turn to the internet in an attempt to
find one. Any suggestions as to the best place to get one for the best
price?

I got a refurbished unit (works perfectly) for $79.00+$15.00 freight at
onsale.com.  It was an auction, you might check to see if they still have
any.

I have been checking the internet and most sites are out of stock, however I called a local (SF bay area,Calif.)CompUSA and they had
four in stock at retail price.

I just sent in the money order for a refurbished one from Ebay.  $70.04 plus
$20 S&H.

Beat you guys by $.95!! =)

Seriously, though, this guy was selling another one on Ebay every day and
putting them up for 3 day auctions.  I'd look there.  I contacted him about
just buying one without haveing to deal with the auction and he said that he
would sell them outright for $89 + S$H.
