Logitech Formula Force - FIR, GPL

I just bought a Logitech Formula Force and it works great with sims like
Viper Racing, Need for Speed 3 etc. But I see references in this newsgroup
to force feedback and FIRS and GPL. I get no FF in either of these and have
tried to see if there is a place in the sims to turn it on but no luck. Do
these support FF - am I missing something?   Thanks

FF for GPL will be included in the hopefully-soon-to-be-released GPL 1.1
Patch.
Dunno about F1RS, I assume there may be a patch for that too.

GPL doesn't have FF until the 1.1 patch comes out.
F1RS FF is defaulted to "off". You need to go through the control
menus and click it to on.
If I remember right, you'll need to click on the arrow to scroll down
to the FF toggle.
The first time I played F1RS was when I got my Formula Force, and I
think the games menu system is pretty lame.

You should also go to C:\Windows\ubisoft\ubi.ini and make sure
there is an entry which reads FFDevTypePlayer0=Wheel. Then
go to the Control menu and enable forces and use the default
setting.

Make sure Steering limit is set off.

You also want to get the 1.09 patch from ubisoft. The original
game did not have FF at all from what I remember. Then go
to www.wingmanteam.com and get the 3.20 beta drivers.
Then make sure the Overall force and dampening is set to
130% and the Spring is set to 100%. You should find the
game is awesome in the FF dept. You can feel some bumps
in many of the track surfaces :-) My racin buddy came over
last night to check out the wheel in F1RS and SCGT. He
was blown away by both the FF and overall feel of the wheel.

Let me know if you need further help but this should get you
going...
