Ha!   ;-D

So hey Greg... have you tried GPL yet ? Maybe r.a.s. should fund you with a
copy, I mean cmon get off  F1RS, you -need- to try GPL, with a Ferrari at
the Nurburgring, cranking the speakers way high.  It's a geek*** ;)

Nope. No need to fund me either, I can certainly afford a copy if I
want.

I just like modern F1 racing, and it should be taken and a bash toward
anyone who is enjoying GPL...

How can you know you only like modern F1 racing when you haven't tried the
full GPL ?  ;-)

The demo is far away from the real product, remember !

You haven't played GPL? The greatest sim of all time.

You can't judge a game made in 1996 to a game made in 1998 by internet web
site visitors. There are many more people on the internet today than there
was in 1996.

Sigh, GPL has the most refined physics, but it's just not a modern
F1 sim.

RedBaron3D is the best WW1 flightsim, but if I want a jet sim, it just
isn't the thing for me, or is it?

I understand your point of view, I prefer modern F1 sims also. But you just
can't beat the purity of GPL.
I don't really care for 1967 F1 cars, and the tracks are kinda plain, but
there is not a sim out there that makes you feel like you really are
driving, like GPL does.

Something I wanted to ask you was what hardward works best with GP2?  I have a
pentium 233 (mmx), and a tnt based video card (tnt, not tnt2).  Also 32 megs
or ram, is that sufficient to run gp2 at full frame?

Edward Letendre.

The point is, among Formula 1 fans wordwide, F1RS/MGPRS2 is easily the most
popular sim right now.

2,000 different IP addresses visit mgprs2.com every day on average. I saw
the data from it's host.

> It's the main gripe (graphics).

The biggest problem with GP2 was Crammond's strange decision to expand time
rather than drop frames when the CPU was overtaxed.  If you didn't turn your
graphic options way down (which meant going to VGA on my then Pentium 100), you
would drive in slow motion.  And what was even sillier were the people who
exploited this and intentionally drove in super slow motion in league races,
depriving themselves of the thrill of speed just so they could post a faster
time.

Other than that, a terrific sim for its time.

Not enough at all hehehe.

You see, Gp2 does no work in your video card.  There would be no difference
with it whatever your on a Trident 1meg or a  32meg TNT2.  It's pure
processor power. The more the better.

With the system you have, you can put every graphic on, and everything in
your mirrors with Gp2, but in VGA.  You will get % occupancy of around 200%
with everything on in SVGA, dropping to 300+ on the starts or whatever you
choose a different view than the***pit.

I can bet 5$ that not even a 500mhz processor can run ALL the time in every
circumstance Gp2 with all the graphics on.

From where do you base those facts ? From the number of his on a website ?
Did you made some research on Gp2 websites at least ? Probably not.

ANd what the heck does a website hit have in relation to the most popular
site ? The number of people with Internet access playing those games is
much much lower than the mass market, who doesn't have net access still in
1999.  Cmon.

Is there any place on his website to access that information ?

I never really cared at all for website hits. In average over 80% of a
website hits is made from people returning to it  in more than 1 time.
Mostly when there is a web board or a news section.  I take this from my
experience with mega Nascar Racing 2 websites, who had multi-million hits.
mgprs2.com has both a Forum and a news section.

How can they have 2000 IP hits and make it for over a million ? MGPRS2 has
only been out since November.  How can they have that low average and get
over a million.  The website has opened only a few months before the
release, that would make far from a million.
