Okey-Dokey ,thanks fer the advice will try NFS: PU...
In truth, I'm glad to climb out of me Lotus***pit.
Too stressful for a wimp like moi.
Don't get me wrong, GPL is a fine and true sim but, egad....it can't half
tighten the dark highway.
I've never won a race....never been close, I usually qualified around
10th....
Spun so many times I get dizzy.
I guess I'm not a devoted *** GPL jockey like some on here....maybe I'm
just kind of medium-core and slightly grilled on top....
I still play GP2/Colin McRae much more than GPL....even enjoying the odd
session of Gran Turismo on the PC (although think its over-rated).
GPL requires serious dedication and I seem to spend most of my time
apologising to the mechanics.
"Fella's, I er....parked it 20ft up an Oak tree."
I've spent hours reading the manual.....may as well have been the Beano for
all the good it did me.
When GP3 comes out......GPL uninstalled.

SCGT is the best purchase I've made in a long time....fun with a capital
Fuh.
What impresses me most is just the overall style of the game, crisp
graphics, plays and handles well....maybe a tad exaggerated, but what the
hell do I know :-)
It has so many nice touches like being able to play football with the
bollards, night driving, wet weather and brake lights.
As for the AI.
Jeez.
How do you judge good AI.?
I remember nearly standing and applauding when a backmarker in GP2 let me
by.....big mistake, I was so surprised that I shot across the gravel trap
and wiped out my Jordan front end.
I find the AI in SCGT cunning, devious and downright mischevious.
Especially at the start.
First race, I nearly crapped myself going into the first left sweeping turn
and over that hump, when I was airborne knew this game was for me....I was
last (natch.!), in front of me had spinning cars swathed in smoke...couldn't
see a flipping thing.
So I did what comes naturally.........shut me eyes.
Went from 16th to 10th within a couple of seconds.
Should of been squashed like a tin bug.
Finished 5th...quite chuffed.
Overall finished 3rd in champ.
SCGT...really enjoyable game.

F1 2000.
Hmmm....excellent discussions here about this sim....talk about divided
opinions.!!
I wasn't sure wether to buy this at first, but having listened to
well-thought out arguments from the likes of Mr Cisko et all....I probably
will, although my main concern is do I have enough cpu welly under my
hood...?
PII 400/64ram/V3....
Maybe this weekend.
Graphics look a little disappointing....plasticky.
GP3 looks much more er..."real" in its depiction of the cars.
The yellow Jordan looks incredible.

Typing too much...so best call a halt.
Really enjoying the F1 2000 threads.
Happy Easter to all on RAS.
