Thanks for the info. Found out that I'm turning in too early, and that
you're killing me through turn 5. Was able to get my best time down to a
39.6, but I know that I could have at least taken that down by a second, but
in the last turn I lost the rear of the car :( BTW, I've using high traction
control and stablitiy control at low...and that's been worth at least 2
seconds a lap.

Update, just managed a 1:34.676.
This track just needs practice ;)

Ok, I can't even picture which turn you're talking about.  Which turn number?
But even though I can *barely* see the pylons, I'd be even slower without them.

If that's the *only* turn you need the pylon, you're doing pretty good.  I wish
there was one for T14.  I'm sure I lose the most time there simply because I
can't see the track, so I tiptoe through it.  I *need* one at turns 2, 6, 7, 8,
and 11-14...
Too bad they all don't have markers/pylons.

Try and find something off the circuit that will help you out. I don't think
about it, but for turns 2, 6, 8 and 14 I just mentally pace myself to wait.
Turn 7 isn't too bad for me because I simply brake after the 50 marker and
when I see the rumble strip on the exit I turn in. Turn 11 I'm getting
better at. I usually don't hit that cone, but its again one of those pacing
things. I think I've probably put about 200 laps in, and I simply know that
when I see the HSBC sign at a certain point, turn in. Turn 14 is the biggest
problem for me mainly because there is nothing there...I mainly see how hard
the car is pushing into the sand. When I get close to 1st gear, I know the
turn is coming up soon so I should turn in.

You brake at the 50 marker in T7?  Ok, I'm losing timt there then, because I
brake at 100 everywhere they exist.
I have most of the graphics turned down in the interest of framerate.  So,
you're likely able to use things for a reference that don't show up on my
screen.

What system do you have? It seems like you're a much better sim racer then
the game is allowing you to be. Honestly, the way I've always found when I'm
going really fast in an F1 game if when I'm braking, I hit the gas right
when I stop braking. It sounds like you're coasting through the turn. This
is slow for two reasons. One you're simply not accelearting, but the other
is because you're losing a lot of weight on the front wheels, so the car
tends to understeer. And not to brag, but for the left hand hairpin I
usually brake about half a second after I pass the 50 marker. I miss the
"correct" apex, but I'm faster.

Really sounds like you should get a new system soonish, just a motherboard
and chip would probably cost less then 300 bucks, but still help you out a
ton the speed department.
