I just received the SB value yesterday. WOW, what a difference in
sound and FPS. In the pits with everything on, 16 sounds, 20 AI, I get
a steady 34fps in the back of the field in the pits. While hosting on
VROC with 11 others I had 4 screen hick ups the whole race long. My
next step is to pick up a joy stick port/game card, I/O card... Then I
wonder what my FPS will be with the same setup as above :-)
At the moment I'm using 2 SUN 691H Multimedia powered speakers for
the fronts and an old 8 track player with two 12" woofers and 3" mid
range and 1" tweeter speakers for the rear. As soon as the garage
sales start up I'll be getting a good surround sound speaker system.
I'll be going after Mystic Music and/or Ultra Sound Inc. to help out
with the sound balance and effects. I'll wait till I get a good system
first though. In the mean time, With the above speaker setup....
What is the best sound setup for GPL? In the Environmental effects
control, what is the best way to set this thing up? Revurb, chorus,
original sound, ect. then what's the best setup as to xmhz, for each
tone and such? I can only assume that there are not to many
knowledgeable sound freaks out there. So, What do you have your sounds
setup as, configured at ect...
Without knowing what I'm doing I have my Ferrari engine sound coming
out from the front (Powered PC speakers) and everything else coming out
of the rear Big speakers. (That is till the cars pass me where I hear
them in the front, God I love that effect).
Any help and or tips would be appreciated,
