Anyone else have a problem with the 40.72 drivers (for windows 98) not
working with F1 2002?  Fails to even complete the 3D setup, and
afterwards no other directx games will run until I reboot.  Other games
work fine as long as I run them before trying to run F1 2002.  After
trying to run it the dxdiag tool reports no directx adapters present.

RAM, SB Live, 64 meg AGP aperture (the bios does not allow larger),
CUSL2 motherboard, blah blah blah....

I've been using the 40.72's for several days with f12k2. (well actually
the SSM Lemans Mod...)
My triangles improved from my Omega drivers and the sim runs fairly well.
(not like Bruzer's P4 that nearly DOUBLES my triangle count...)

I had the same problem.

Turn off anti-aliasing in the F1 2002 3D setup program - that worked for me.

Thanks.  By any chance have you checked to see whether it will still
work if you turn FSAA back on in the options.cfg after running the
setup?

I installed the 40.72 drivers for my VisionTek Xtacy Ti4 4400 board,
and it works perfectly with F1 2002,GPL, LFS,& Nascar 2002.

NM, I found the obvious solution, just force it on with the tweak icon
afterwards.

Have you used FSAA at all?  In GPL, I found that FSAA slowed down the
menus and the replay screen to the point where they were unusable.  I
mean literally waiting 10 seconds or more for the screen to refresh.
Other than some slight texture corruption it worked fine with 30.xx.

Yep - FSAA worked fine as long as it was turned on somewhere other than the
3Dsetup program.
