Hi Ron,

Although, I have a V5 and love it :), I would recommend going with the
ATI for a *new* system.  Since 3Dfx is out of business, there probably
won't be any new support for the V5.  I can't comment on the
compatibility of the ATI though.

Jason.

I've got the 64meg Geforce 2 ultra in my New Dell 1.5ghz monster machine I
got last week and it is awesome, runs HEAT at 60fps full detail and 4x AA
and the N4 Demo at 114fps in opengl mode I know hard to believe but true..
If you can swing it get this card.  It rocks.

The Radeon was specifically designed for  Direct X 8.0 if that helps.

I've installed the Radeon 64 Meg DDR VIVO with my P733 and it works great on
F1SC2000, GP3 and Superbike 2001.

It's a very fast card for the price. Be careful: If you buy Retail, the
Memory is clocked at 183 Mhz, but OEM version is only 166 Mhz, The good
thing that since it's 0.18 micron technology, it is very easy to overclock
it.

Don't run any sims with FSAA...it sucks big time: heavy drop in performance.
