HELP! What 3d card do i choose??

by Trevor Lefle » Sat, 28 Nov 1998 04:00:00

I was wondering if I could get some help from you experienced gamers out
there. I have an opportunity to get a Diamond Monster 4MB 3d card for 70$
CDN, would this allow me to actually run GPL on a P166, and would it allow
me to get the better graphics for icr2, n2 and microsoft flight sim 98?

Thanks

Trevor befor i up graded this spring i had a 166 over clocked to
200 with a diamond monster 3dfx i got 20fps in gpl demo
and about 22 fps in flight Sim 98 both at 640X480 with5 cars
on in gpl it will drop to around 12. Your going have to try
to go up to a 300mhz or more  when you can to play almost any
graphic intense game anymore

I think I'd get a rendition card before the vodoo and play the rendition
version.

Well, if all (or most) you do is playing Papy sims, okay, but to get the
biggest support, Voodoo2 is the best option.
