SCGT Sound

I've been driving SCGT a lot this week, going to Laguna Seca this weekend
for the ALMS<g>, and the in car sounds are driving me nuts! At the start of
a race and in a pack of cars, I cannot hear my own car over the sound of the
AI cars. Can anyone recommend a fix for this? I've tried a couple of the
sound packs available at Gt Insider but they haven't helped.

I have done the following.:
Taken the sound used for outside (2), and turned it's
volume down by some 70%, depending on the sound,
in a sound program. The Sound Blaster Wavestudio for
example. This works for me. Or you could just turn the
volume up, on the sound that your car is using.

To avoid this problem, Install the SCGT patch V1.551.  you can get it
directly from EA at

ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/ea/patches/sportscargt/scgt_patch.zip

or from GT Insider at:

http://www.racesimcentral.net/

The V1.5 patch It fixes a problem where the stereo***pit sounds of
competior cars are heard inside your***pit instead of their mono exterior
sounds.

I also have it that ISI will soon release a full SCGT Sound Realism Update
with a ballanced set of new sounds that will make it easy to tell your own
car apart from other approaching and nearby cars..

Other must-get SCGT patches, add-ons, amazingly well done cars (ALMS, GTP,
TransAm, tons of them),  and***pits can be found at : www.gtinsider.com ,
and http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Besides the V1.5 update, be sure to at least get these:
- the Advanced Options Editor, (sets up realistic and more fun handling):
http://www.racesimcentral.net/'files'advopt.zip

- the Visual Dammage patch (amazing realistic crumpled bodywork):
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Have fun at Laguna!

Just my opinion but the patch didn't really work that good either-helped a
little but not enough.  Paul
