SCGT SOUNDS

I thought there was something missing from this
game besides not being able to use my wheel and pedals,
We needed better sounds.Night driving with a joystick or
keyboard really works great also. Can't wait for the next update.
I think we need some animals running across the track.

Well I have been playing around with sounds, but I think you will need
someone much better with a PC then I am for animals.

hahaha
I couldn't agree more. This new Sports Car game has been pretty fun to
mess around with. I don't think I could add much, since most of the ups
and downs have been adressed here already... I've had no problem at all
using my T2 right from the start, which is quite a suprise for a new
demo.  I hear that a few things will be changed in this next update, but
for now here are some random observations:

--the sound could be a Lot better. I recently went to a SCGT real life
race at Laguna Seca (and man was that cool!!!) and the cars are
powerfully loud. The pops and revs were thundering. And needless to say
GPL has raised the bar for in car sounds. I like the wind effects,
though.
-- the AI is okay, but I found the other drivers either trying to push
me or another driver off of the road pretty regularly, or driving way
over the shoulder, where usually you'd think they'd be more
professional. Overall it was pretty good.
--I really hope the in-car views rock in the final release. The new
Rally99 game brags about having about 25 (?) different in car views, and
for me it makes a  difference. No matter how good a game is, I still
hate to drive from the bumper (Gran Turismo).
--I agree that the Porsche 911's were a bit tall, not sure if this can
be changed so late, but hey..
--It;s just so cool to be able to drive these cars, and race them, can't
wait to play the final.
--On my P200, 64mb, it runs smooth as silk!
--The automatic pitting, and no telemetry was weird.
--I can see what people mean by saying it's 'arcadish',, but I think
it's got promise nonetheless..
--definitely needs small animals crossing the road, though,, (see below)

my cents
