Wheel without gas/brake any good??

by Collect » Tue, 15 Sep 1998 04:00:00

I saw a wheel Grand Prix 1 from Thustmaster it got no pedals but
levers in wheel itself, that nice i think no big computers mess
(jokes, my pc is in the living room)  or pedals that i push around the
house.
What do you think of it are they almost as good as a wheel/pedal like
T1 or nascar wheel setup??
Thanks in advance

Collector,

I have partial loss of the feeling and movement in my legs because of a
spinal problem and I Iove
the GP-1. It's easy to set up and break down and once you get use to it,
you can go just as fast ( IMHO) with the paddles as the pedals.

 Collector,
I ended buying two of these when the price came down so much. I
figured I'd have a spare when I wore out the first one <ggg.> Seriously, I
can't have anything under my feet, my sub sits there but also I think it
would get kicked around all the time. My old T2 pedals took quite the
beating. The GP-1 is a great little wheel, now that I'm used to it I don't
think I'll ever switch back to pedals. All my lap times are essentially
the same, that is slow <ggg.> All the best, Mike

It's a good entry level wheel, but you get sore fingers after too many
laps.

Furthermore, If you race as much as myself and everyone else
in this group, you'll find yourself signalling a left turn instead
of braking in your real car ;)

Pedals are great (and realistic)!
Jason.
