F1RS, gas&brake not good

Hello

I've calibrated my TM Formula1 wheel in Windows Control Panel, all OK. In
the game's Configuration/Control the device is 'steering wheel 1', all OK.
But in driving, when I press the gas pedal the revs increase first slightly
(but notably). Pressing deeper, at one point the revs go to full (red line).
Adjusting the sensitivity (in config/control) only shifts this limit (at
which the revs go wild). All the above mentioned applies with braking as
well. Needless to say, but this makes especially wet-weather driving a
nightmare. Any suggestions on settings or patches?

Also, partly due to this, steering the car with gas (power steering) is
almost impossible. I think GP2 and especially GPL are superior in this
respect.

BTW, if you REALLY want to do power slides check out Screamer2 and Screamer
Rally! They're awesome!

Perhaps it's time to clean the potentiometers of your wheel?  For
a long time I found it impossible to drive out of slower corners in F1RS
until I sprayed some contact cleaner on my GP1's wheel.  For the record,
I bought my wheel nearly a year ago.

Interesting thought! The problem I was describing, though, was about
controlling the gas.

Earlier I had some problems "steering" in the straight line, but I fixed
that by tightening the***on the bottom of the steering shaft.

Thanks anyway!

Sorry!  As I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy CH pedals to go
with my GP1, I associate problems of throttle/brake as well as
steering with the wheel!  Regardless, if you have problems with the
gas, I suggest the same thing except with the potentiometers of your
pedal assembly.  Also check Alison "Eagle Woman" Hine's website (the
address of which eludes me right now) for some modifications intended
to prolong your wheel and pedal setup's life.

I keep a screwdriver right beside my computer for this very
reason.  One day I'm afraid I'll ruin the threads...

Ah, if this solves your problem then I reserve the right to
remove that "anyway".
