I noticed some people saying they have some slowing of framerates with
everything maxed.  I have a PII350 w/v2 and 256meg of memory and have no
slowing of framerate.  So maybe more memory will help this game run
smoother. Just a thought.

With a lot of cars it could slow things down. Try using HIGH graphics
settings instead of MAX if anyone experiences slow downs.

Seems smooth on my C300a/450 (Banshee) 96MB, that is, until in a race.  Then
it peeveptably slows when a car is near.  Unacceptably.  Could this be RAM?
My experience and logic tells me that RAM should address issues like load
times and jerkiness, but not framerate per se.  I'm not impressed.  Okay,
maybe I'll try "HIGH" instead of "MAX".

Super smooth on my C300/450A, CL TNT, 128 MB Ram.  Racing on the tail of car in front for several laps or
in the small pack of 3 without any change in frame rate as far as I can tell.  In fact, most fun I've
ever had racing so close, most games I can't wait to get by so dumb AI doesn't cause accident.  In SCGT I
like staying with the pack and racing hard.  Watching replay, I can drive 1-2 feet away from car in front
through most turns, and on straights when I don't use the Porsche :-).  Fun demo.

I think the mirror setting can change the frame rate a lot. I think it slowed down a bit when I turned on the best (?) mirror
setting.  PII 350, 128MB, V2 SLI

Disable the Mip Mapping Option.  I had this problem, but this cured
it.  Framerates were smooth all around then.

I have a Celeron 400 running at 450 with a Stealth II 4mb card.   64mb of SDRAM.  Framerate is fine at all
settings "High" and 800X600.
