SCGT framerate

SCGT framerate

I'm getting around 20 fps at 800 x 600, detail high,
in-car view w/mirror.  I'm running it on a PIII 500,
Xentor32 TNT2 Ultra, 128 MB PC100 RAM, SB Live.

This seems rather slow -- the same rate I get when
running practice mode in F1 2000.

For those who play this game, is this a common framerate?

Try turning down the detail levels, you can turn the circuit
detail level right down and it still looks pretty cool.

I suggest you experiment with reducing the graphics details you
will be surprised how good it still looks and how much more
playable it is.

Also  think enabling mip mapping helps your frame rate by
reducing detail on distant objects, though I'm not sure of this.

Ok, I can see in the manual where you can set all the option.  But, how to you
find the frame rate?  I have a slower system than you, but I have a V3 3000.
Tell me where to find the FPS, and I'll compare...

With a program called FRAPS which you can download here:
http://www.fraps.com/

It does NOT work with glide, only with d3d!

I'm using the fraps utility (www.fraps.com).

Ok.  I thought maybe I just missed a option in the actual game...  Thanks.
