The way I read it is they took out the FF crash effect. Which obviously
would solve the problem of the program crashing after you hit something.
Has anyone tried the patch yet to see what the deal is? I won't be able
to drive (on the computer or in real life) for probably another month or
two :-(

Why's that?

OK yeah... But what if you actually try it? I'm betting I am right.

Ouch! But, that means a month or so off work, right? :-)

I wish you a really fast recovery! The doctor ordered only fast jet sims
for you, no rudder pedals :). Or a Logitech Wingman 3D or something like
that, or Thrustmater GP1 wheel (or Nascar Sprint) with paddles for brake
and gas.
Seriously, get well soon!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Do everything your doctor and physio
recommend, as the Achilles is a *** one if it doesn't heal properly. The
forces which go through many of the tendons of the leg are astounding...
cheers

All in all though, I would rather not have this happen.

Well I was playing volley ball. After we were done, I was sitting
down thinking boy this kind of hurts over here. 10 days later
everything seemed fine and I was in my garage chasing after
a run away garage door. The first hard pushoff I did on my right
foot did it. Right where it was hurting 10 days earlier. No snap
or anything like that. But I knew what happened because I was
sort of worried about it :-)
Thanks for the kind words... I have been doing Freespace2 and
F4 when my leg doesn't bother me so much :-)
