Yeah, hopefully you still have your reciept so you can take GP2 back and
get your money back!
I dont mean to discourage you Stefan but the network capabilities are
second hand in GP2 and you will see a signifigant drop in the allready
unacceptable frame-rate!  -just warnin ya'  -DG  on a 2 p200s w/ half
graphics on expect about 9 fps, network!!!!

We tried it with p200w/S3644megvram/36 meg/512 cache annd p166w/same and
the framerate was chopped in half! If you check out the GP2 forum youll
find several stories on this one.
via modem is even worse! Very unacceptable in  my book.     -DG

I have a problem to connect 2 computers as direct link.
There is no reaction, when I use the linkup option.
Under WIN95 I can connect both computers to transfer data, so I think
the link is O.K.
Can anyone Help ?

RU sure? Are all of the machines in your network p200s? Since GP2 synchronizes
the frame rates you will only get those frames the slowest machine of your
network kan manage. So if you connect a p200 w/ a 486DX4, don't expect high
frame rates...

BTW, I already linked up two p90s using a serial link and it worked fine
(but I had to turn down the number of side objects by one step)

Well its not really a good idea to run GP2 under Win95. I run mine
under Dos with much better results. I only use Null-Link cable and it
works.......uuuuuummmmm Well it works.  :-)

9 fps linked up. How on earth did you get it that fast... :-)
As I said. It works....  :-)

Well !! The direct link in GP2 is not THAT bad, actually it work OK, it's
just the modem part that sucks.....

It could be an IRQ problem !
If your Win95 settings, changes the IRQ setting of Com2 (I guess you use
that one) from anything else than 3, GP2 can't find the port, because there
is no IRQ settings in the game (strange !!!!).

Have you also tried the switch in the game. In the technical supliment
it said to use the switch  use16550   ie   c:\gp2\gp2.exe use16550

I have used that line and it does give me a better speed (P-133  and
DX4-100)
Still on the slow side but better than not using that switch...
