This is a copy of an e-mail I received yesterday can anyone help? Please
respond to the sender.

When playing Gp2 (Edited with gp2-editor) against a friend using serial-
link cable the line always "crashes" with the message "error at data-
transfer" - also if both PCs have absolutely the same copy with all
changes !

Did you ever noticed this problem ??

Hope to get an answer ..... my address:

I don't know the answer. Any help would be nice. Thanks

Yeah, me too!  Serial link on GP2 sucks. Great sym though.

There shouldn't be any probs if both players have identical software i.e
the standard F1GP2 loaded on both machines. I've played OK with only the
jam files modified (same mods on both machines), but I have heard that if
further coding mods are used then you can get the problem you mentioned.
This will especially be the case if hp figures are not the same as each
machine will calculate different positions for the same car and this will
obviously cause a problem.
