I was wondering if anyone has tried them yet. I just installed them last
night and in 3dmark they show some promise, but I have not had to "sim" test
them yet.

The best visual quality IMHO is still that of the 23.10. Which, on my
system, are also still the fastest.

AMD or Intel ? I run AMD and the whole 23.xx line sucked hind***on my
system. I had pretty much stuck with the 21.88 till now.

Did a nosedive on my system with 3dmark2001

I've kept with the ELSA set which use the 21.81 and of all the current 4
series drivers these are still the best on my system with the highest
3DMark2001 score.

P4/1.8 + ELSA Gladiac 920 + 512Mb ram

I installed them, but not for long, my 3dMark score dropped a bit, but
worse, I saw some major jerkiness in the framerates - smooth for most of a
second, then flat-out stop, repeating every second or two...27.10 has been
flawless for me.

I tired 27.2 and it was just slightly slower (talking a 1/2 a frame a sec)
in 3dmark2001 than 23.11. Right now, what is the consensus #1 driver
version?

Whatever works best on your box, that's what, heh.

Seriously, it's a lot of trial-and-error. Some unlucky souls have had
insane crash problems since the first 23.xx drivers. I haven't. Some
people get best performance from 21.85, some from 22.30, some from 23.11,
and myself from 27.10.
