I would like to install the new drivers for my GF3. What is the proper
procedure to uninstall and install the new drivers? What is the best
program to use to get rid of the old drivers first? Could someone tell me
the procedure or point me in the proper direction

Roll back driver, reboot, install new driver. I'm currently using 40.72
and used "Detonator 40.41 Fix" to clear remaining 30.** driver once
installed and works fine.

* Uninstall the drivers from the Add/Remove Section of Control Panel
* Run Detonator Destroter http://www.guru3d.com/
* Click on Uninstall
* Click on either Restart to restart windows or close to shut the program.
You will need to restart shortly
* When the machine has restarted, Install the display adapter as "Standard
VGA"
* Restart whern prompted
* Install the new display drivers
* Restart again

I really should learn to proofread better...that should read, "Run Detonator
Destroyer".

If you have WinXP then skip detonator destroyer since it's not compatible.

There is a shareware program called "Detonator Destroyer."

Essentially,

(1) You uninstall what you can (video card driver related ;-) )from the
control panel

(2) set your display adapter to Standard VGA and reboot (dont install any
drivers for the card on reboot).  Keep it standard VGA driver

(3) you run detonator destroyer and reboot (dont install any drivers for
the card on reboot).  Keep it standard VGA driver

(4) install the new drivers you have already downloaded from NVidia

jeff

Like he said, it's not compatible.  It's for 9x OS's only.
