Slowdown with new nvidia 12.41 drivers on GPL ?

Since I updated my drivers for my TNT2 card I get a slowdown in GPL with
DirectX8a.
Anyone else having this experience ? Suggestions?

Yes, go back to a detonator 2 or an earlier det3 if you must. 1241 has
*nothing* to offer a TNT card except potential problems.
