I've got them for Win2k and GPL is running just as well as before. It does
do the same as you (it did with 6.50 and 6.47 aswell). It is very erratic as
to when it does it. I find that if it keeps doing it, all you need do is
swap resolutions i.e., drop the desktop from 1280x1024 16bit to 800x600 and
than go back to 1280 16 bit again, GPL should than work. I'm not sure this a
problem with the Video drivers but a problem with Win2K. I run Win98 on the
same system and the same drivers and don't get that problem.
BTW 7.52 is very slightly slower than 6.50 (the fastest yet) but does seem
to work with everything I've tried so far (7.17 gave a few graphics
problems)

Marc.
No, the menus have always been fine whatever driver version I've used. It
does go into crazy colours if I have the desktop in 32bit not 16.
Menu text is slightly fuzzy if you put on FSAA. Make sure you have vsync on
as that can make graphics steadier.

They are all quite mad. Vsync should only be disabled for benchmarking
purposes. Without it you can get tearing and blurring with high frame rates.
Having a frame rate higher than your refresh rate is utterly pointless,
besides GPL is limited to 36fps anyway.
In Additional GeForce properties, direct 3d tab I have ticks for everything
apart from display logo.
Mipmapping is set at best image quality.
PCI is set at 31
Texel alignment at 3 (this might be the problem so try adjusting it and see
if it makes things better or worse)
FSAA at 2x2 (special) (the best quality/speed setting I've found)
Force AA tickbox is empty (unless I need it)
Basically the defaults with a couple of changes to get the best image
quality (well that's why we've spent all this money on a nice graphics card
in the first place)
As for mouse cursor problems I don't know.
Hope this helps

The cusor should the be the normal windows one. I normally run in awindows
anyway as you can alt-tab without GPL crashing.

Yes the 6 series detonators are DX6 and the 7 series support the new
thingies in DX8. You don't really need DX8 yet as nothing yet use it but I'm
very sure there soon will be. As I've said the 6.50 drivers are the very
fastest and are very compatible (they work!). The new 7.52 ones are the
first DX8 ones to work OK and are only very slightly slower than 6.50 (not
noticeable in real life anyway)
