Where to find 12.41/12.9x drivers for Geforce?

by Rick Catto » Sun, 07 Oct 2001 22:55:32

Looking at the posts re: F1 2001, and having bought the thing this morning,
wanted to try changing drivers. (Not impressed with the graphics thus far.)
Having been to Nvidia's download site, I found the 12.41 drivers under the
Driver Archive link. Downloaded it, (under WinME) only to be told that
12.41-W9X.exe is "not a valid Win32 Application". Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Rick.

Rick,

For a deeper explanation of the performance differences betw. the various
Detonators (& links to the drivers themselves), I recommend:

I'll echo Steve on this one - www.guru3d.com has a pretty complete archive
of Detonator drivers, including a "recommended" set from each series, and
some comparative tests.  They also have some of the best tweaking utilities
at the site, as well.  The site came in very handy when I discovered that my
GF2GTS-64 (LeadTek) doesn't like the 21.x drivers *at all*, and I needed to
figure out where my board was happiest :)

Thanks all - found the 12.41's from Michael's post yesterday. Off to check
out guru3d now.

Thanks again,

Rick.
