I had to reinstall GPL from scratch and when I'm done I can't use D3D cause
when I lauch the game it just drops to desktop even without showing
anything. If I use OGL I can drive and stuff but when I exit the driving and
return to the menus I have half the screen outside the viewable area. The
screen is shifted down so to speak. Help, what do I do now?

Suggest next thing to do is to post the problem to ras, specifying
what video card you have!

Have you adjusted your core.ini for DirectX?
(Bearing in mind that on a fresh install it will be named
"core.ini.sample" and do nothing at all).

I finally got the Detonator 4 v12.41 drivers and now all of a sudden the D3D
works great. Dunno why it didn't work with the other because I used the 6.5
from Nvidias homepage. Now I can finaly get some laps on that great Le Mans
circuit and maybe improve on my lousy 3:42:68.

Thanx for your effort and time. I finally got it to work early this morning.
Seems it didn't agree with the ref. drivers.
