Ok, someone _please_ tell me what you are using for braking queue's at this
track :)

The darkened area's of the pavement are WAY off (too deep), and there isn't
much in the way of discernable track-side objects to go by.

Oh, and forget the racing line.  Someone really blew that in this one.

I finally figured out how to exit and enter the pits.  Especially where the
pit ENTRANCE was.  I found it quite by accident by blowing the entry into
the left hander and plowing straight forward into this abyss that turned out
to be pit road.

The first interesting suprise was when I loaded the track the first time,
and when entering the track was put in the pits with a solid concrete wall
smack dab in front of me.  "WTF?" I said :)  Tried going right.  Nope...
Turned left, and found another brick wall.  About this point, I thought
someone was F'n with me.  Finally I found the exit after a couple of tries.

Really, I've never felt so blinded.  Dare I roof-ride ?

Im off this week Larry and later today am going to setup a Norisiring for
practice.  Let me know if/when you can practice and we can hook up on TS and
get ya worked out.  Im not real fast there 49.7 but I can get around pretty
safe and can give ya my brake points.  The more I run this track the more I
like it and the track lends itself to trailbraking which Im working on
mastering anyway.  Let me know.

Never roof ride.  Throw the SIM away before you do that.

I might take you up on that.  Is TS back up ?

I'm working from home today myself (snow/ice storm), but won't be able to do
this until about 6pm Eastern Time (assuming my call load is cleared up by
then).

I'd bet given half an hour we can get you down into the low 51's mid 50's or
even below.  This track demands smooth.

Not yet.  He says he can easily setup a Ventrillo server but setting up TS
server under BSD is a nightmare that he's working through.  Ive heard from
numerous people in the know that say Ventrillo is better so maybe we should
just make the switch now before the cup season starts.  I know how you are
about change so this isnt written in stone just a suggestion :))

For today we can use an open TS server of your choosing.  So for anyone else
interested we'll be running a Norisering at around 6est look for
RAS-Practice.  Ill find a TS server just before 6est and post the name here.

......while we are on the subject of TS

Finally gave up on using it. I could hear everybody fine, but something (my
guess is the Creative drivers for my SBLive) causes an awful echo effect to
start with all sounds my computer makes, even after exiting N2003 and TS.
Requires reboot to get it to stop.
Before anyone suggests mic problems, I had the problem with and without a
mic hooked up.

TS is not back up :(

Does anyone have the spare bandwidth to run a TS server?

I would, but my uplink is only 192k and I can't host so much as a***roach
race with it.

Does your computer have a _built-in_ mic ?

You have a loop in there somewhere.  Gotta be a sound card setting.

Just open your own private channel on one of the public TS servers. A
league I'm in has used voice.teamspeak.org for a few races and we've
had no problems at all.

One person goes in and opens the new channel and assigns the
password. Then he publicizes the PW so everyone else can join. Easy.

Im only 128k up.

I had a decent 7 person race a couple days ago so we should be ok  You can
host if you want but your cable may be less stable than dsl.
