I never DID figure out how to get that to work.  I installed it last week, and
kept getting an "error loading track".  WTF?

Did you delete the old files before installing the new ones? If not, try
that. And download again from the Pits of course, maybe the zip you have
is simply damaged.

*What* new ones?  There's another version?  There isn't an install program in
the version I had.  Yes, I deleted all the files and copied them over again.
I'll try to download again.

No, I was just referring to the files you were going to install, as
opposed to those already in the track directory. Because if you had for
some reason a file in there which isn't part of the original track, it
perhaps wouldn't get deleted when you installed the track again.

I try that first when an install fails. The second step for me is to
download the archive again and see if that helps.

Other than that, I've never found any track not to load unless there
really was an error in the track files, but in that case the track
wouldn't work for anyone.

Well, I haven't been having too much luck recently.  I can't get the ETCC mod
to work on my server, I have tracks that won't run on my home system, etc.
Then I have weird stuff going on in real life.  Like I said before, sometimes
it feels like the universe is against me...

And the hits just keep on coming...  I just missed the season opener for one of
my leagues.  They changed race times, and I forgot about it.  I showed up at
the normal time only to find the race was over.  WTF...?  This is getting
ridiculous...

Cheer up mate. Now suppose, if the universe is REALLY against you at the
moment. You would have showed up on time and finished dead last after
driving like a nutter and having an off in every corner. So now you have
been spared all that aggravation. What a relief!

See? It can always get worse, that should make you happy    ;)

(What should also cheer you up is when you get to try those BRM setups
and probably find yourself a few seconds faster at Mosport. Which I'm
sure you WILL after some practice. If I can, you can!)

What, you mean like NORMAL?<g>  Actually what usually happens is I drive my ass
off, never spin or go offtrack, and finish last of the running cars without
having passed anyone.

But you forget - I absolutely *hate* the BRM.  The only reason I'd even drive
that POS is to work on a MonsterRank...  But we'll see.

Ah yes - but the reason I sent 'em is that they take a lot of the
difficulty (or 'evil', if you're so inclined) out of the BRM while still
giving a decent amount of speed.

Setups can make an amazing amount of difference - I HATED driving the
Honda until I found a superb setup for it, which drove very nicely - now
I merely dislike it with a passion, but at least I can get it around
without grumbling bout the handling as well   ;)
