Hi All,

Has anyone used the Logitech Formula Force ( original red wheel ) on the
serial port with Win2K ?  The NEW Logitech web site doesn't even show that
model (E-UA2) as a product.  The website also states that they don't support
serial port devices in Win2K; but, will it still work ?  Can I just get an
adapter to go from a serial port to joystick port or do I have to buy a new
wheel ?

Thanks,

It is a fairly old product at this stage. You should check with the Logitech
customer support to see if you can get an adapter for serial->USB. The
wiring is custom so it is not something off the shelf.

Why aren't you using the USB port?  If your PC is so old that it doesn't
have any, then why are you running Win2K?

I have USB ports, however, my 9 pin serial connection doesn't fit into a USB
port regardless of the size of hammer I use.  I just built a games only
machine and judging from this and other newsgroups and my hardware choices
Win2K seemed to be the way to go.  Looks like I'll have to go back to
Win98SE.

Thanks anyway,

So your LWFF didn't come with a USB adapter?  I bought one the first
day they were on sale and I got a USB adapter...
