Problem is, the collision detection code can't handle the fact that your
cars overlap for an instant, and assumes one of you hit the other at a
million miles an hour, with drastic results. It may be that Papy has
improved this for N4, but they can't have fixed it all.
Bottom line is, if you bump draft somebody online you're probably asking for
trouble. You have to understand that the Internet is not an ideal ***
environment, and leave a bit more room that you would in real life (or even
in a LAN race).

My league raced at Daytona on Friday, and we did some bump drafting in
practice. We found the bump to be far less beneficial than it was in N3.
The "bumpie" barely feels any acceleration from the bump. The "bumper" sees
the "bumpie's" car squat down in the rear, rather than pushing him ahead.
We decided that it's not worth the risk.

I would only bump draft people you know. Others can get pissed. I know I
successfully bump draft my team mate all the time...it helps both of
you...you just need cooperation. The lead car must stay straight and the
following car must hit nice and square. If either of you flinch, the lead
car will probably spin. Just lift the gas a little so you don't hit too
hard.
