What happened to bump drafting in N4 and NR2002?  I noticed the slightest
bump of the car in front of you,  causes it to spin out.

Not in NR2002 if you do it right

No problem here with N4 or N2002 bumpdrafting, at least in multiplayer.

If you want to do that then get Nascar Heat, much more forgiving than N4 in
this area.

You rub the bumpers of the other players in online races? I doubt they would
appreciate that. I don't know about N2002, but N4 would cause a spin out
just about everytime I tried to do this. Nascar Heat I find much better/fun
for racing bumper to bumper.

If done properly and against people with good connections it works online
but most people just aren't good enough to make it work.  Both drivers must
know what is going on and what to expect.  Over all though it doesn't really
help speeds much for the risk.

I've let Mike rub me from behind at Daytona a few times....errr...let me
re-word that...

We've bumpdrafted with no problems at all in N4. It helps that the car in
front knows it coming, though. :)

Should be, since the yellow code/online code is a joke :)

Not really.  Race the same guys year after year, get to know each others
style, so it's not big deal.  N2002 handles this much better than Nx before
it.

Besides, he's talking about bump drafting, not door slamming :)

Ever try Nascar Heat? For racing with the pack bumper to bumper, door to
door, it's my Nascar sim of choice.

Yea well, I don't race it online anyway. I don't even race N4 online anymore
because the AI is actually better than most human players and there is no
lag. NH has some weak points, but I seem to enjoy it more than N4, I like
the feel and look of NH better I guess. Too bad there is no NH2 being
released though to tweak it up.

Yes, in fact I still have it somewhere.  But with it's lousy/non-existent
yellow code, and even more important to me, it's joke of online code/play,
no thanks.  I have no interest in running online races without yellows, etc.
Always loved how the yellows would come out when there was no wreck too, as
well as conviently coming out exactly in the AI's pit window.

That, and the complete bs given by the developers for why this was so.

I'm far from a Papy blinded sim-racer, but N2002 is the best stock car sim
currently IMO, on or offline, either one.  If you like beating and banging,
etc., N2002 does that just as well as Heat............but with the addition
of simulating an actual race too, unlike Heat.
