This place has exploded the last few weeks, and I cannot keep up with all
the posts, sorry. Maybe this has been asked already...

I was exiting the pits at Indy, went around 1st and 2nd corners, was
ready to merge but saw an AI car coming, so stayed down. I was
accelerating hard-ish and wooosh, the AI blew past me and I spun out.

Watching the replay, the AI was about 2-3 virtual feet from my
'passenger' side; it did not hit me. I know I was not mashing the gas so
much as to be spinning my tyres (ha, tyres) to cause myself to spin
unaided.

Does N4 model the aero so faithfully that a car passing me at a
substantial speed difference would cause me to spin?

Dunno about the AI stirring up the air (3500lb car, 150mph wind, I doubt it)
but it doesn't take much gas pedal to spin you out in N4, much because of
the "realistic" HP and torque supposedly built into this release. I have had
to learn great restraint, especially when "shifting", in getting on the gas.
If I stab it too much after lifting to shift, around she goes! I assume you
are lifting to shift, else you're over revving the motor...or have a
controller with a clutch, which I do not have.

Anyway, welcome to N4, best of luck,

Kind of like racing on ice isn't it?
