Use of MadCatz wheel\pedal combo

After finally reloading N2 and then loading the patch and also the patch
for
the patch, I have finally gotten my wheel\pedals to respond. Well, sort of.

I have a MadCatz analog wheel\pedal combo for PCs. Before the reload, I
never got the wheel to be recognized by the Windows95 joystick
configuration.
After the reload, I did get the wheel portion to work and configured but
when
configuring it to the center position, it floats to the right. Next, I got
the gas
pedal to be recognized but as soon as I touched the brake pedal, I get a
message that says the pedal is either not connected or configured
correctly.
So, if anyone has any ideas, let me know, PLEASE.

P.S. the wheel is connected to a generic sound\game port card. A friend
told
me that this may be a problem???

Thanks to all, I appreciate any ideas.

I went through the what sound like the same problem with a friends
machine. After several sound boards and many hours I tried running N2
in DOS mode. Everthing worked fine. I was able to calibrate everything
and it even saved the setting. Try going to DOS mode from the shutdown
menu and reload N2. It's a lot simplier than trying to get it to run
in WIN95.

My advice, throw it in the bin.  The Madcatz wheel is not worth its
weight in plastic.  If you want a good wheel without going to the
expense of a TSW, build your own! I did, cost me A$30 and is better than
a T2.
