I having trouble with my Nascar Pro wheel. It seems that the wheel
causes my soundcard to produce static, alot of it. This only happens in
GPL, so far (it's the only racing sim I play now). It definately is the
wheel because it happens when I turn or use the pedals, never anytime
else.I use a Turtle Beach Montego and it's gameport. This didn't happen
with my GP1 wheel. I've tried new drivers and the other standard
gameport option still no joy, just static.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I doubt that it is an issue with the wheel (but anything is possible),
it sounds more like a problem with the ciruitry of your soundcard.  I
would however contact both Thrustmaster support and tech support for
your soundcard.

Well it's not my soundcard. I just replaced it with a CL Live and get
the same static. I also tried my GP1 wheel and get static too. Now I've
replaced the vjoy.vxd with one from N1999 and did not calibrate my
wheel, for now it seems to have gone away. Beware I'm still testing.
Right now I'm inclined to think it's a GPL calibration problem. BTW this
does not happen with GP2,N2,ICR2, in case anyone's curious.

You might try disconnecting the audio cable between the sound card and
CD-ROM drive. I've seen moving the mouse cause static noise in the sound
card that disappeared when diconnecting this cable. Don't know why.
